Our history.
Our history began on September 16, 2017, when the Nicaraguan community living in different cities across Mexico came together to provide humanitarian aid to the victims of the earthquake in the country. That first response of solidarity, which even received support from Nicaraguans in Nicaragua, marked the beginning of a collective that, over time, transformed into a formal organization.
In April 2018, faced with the repression of social protests in Nicaragua by the National Police, the collective organized to inform the international community about serious human rights violations and to channel medical supplies to the victims. Since then, we have sustained our commitment to humanitarian assistance and human rights advocacy, expanding our work to attend to cases of vulnerability among our fellow citizens in Mexican territory.
Today, our members reside in different parts of the Mexican Republic: Monterrey (Nuevo Leon), Mexico City, Guadalajara (Jalisco), Cuernavaca (Morelos), Valle de Bravo and Texcoco (State of Mexico), Xalapa (Veracruz), and Puebla.
Our mission
To contribute to the social and cultural inclusion of migrants and refugees, and to promote the effective exercise of their rights through community-based approaches and multisectoral collaboration.
Our vision
To position ourselves as a leading voice, both nationally and internationally, in advancing the well-being of refugees and migrants.
